Switching from Hibu or Thryv

Locked Into Hibu or Thryv? You Can Leave, and Take Everything With You.

You signed up for a website and some marketing. Then you found out the site, the domain, and even your leads were never really yours, the bill kept climbing, and getting out looked complicated on purpose. It is not as hard as they want you to believe. You can move, and you can bring everything you own with you. Here is exactly how.

What They Don't Tell You

You May Own Less Than You Think

When you signed up, you were buying a website and some marketing. What is easy to miss is who ends up owning what. A lot of the big all-in-one providers build your site on their own platform, which can mean the website, and sometimes the domain and even your Google Business Profile, are registered to them instead of to you. It works fine while you are paying. The problem shows up the day you decide to leave.

That is usually when the friction appears too. Getting your assets released, your customer data exported, or your phone number moved can turn into a stack of support tickets and hold music, and the steps are rarely spelled out in plain language. None of that means you are trapped. It means the exit was never built to be easy, because an easy exit was never in their interest. Once you see how the pieces actually move, the whole thing gets a lot less intimidating.

The Move, Piece by Piece

How You Actually Get Out

None of this is magic, and the parts you already own do not need anyone's blessing to move. Here is how each piece of your business comes over, and what we handle for you.

Your domain goes into your name

A domain name is not owned by whoever built your site. It is registered, and a registration can be transferred between registrars or simply pointed at a new site. If your domain is already in your name, we point it at your new website. If it sits under your current provider, we help you request the transfer so it lands in an account you control. Either way, you keep your web address and the reputation attached to it.

Your phone number ports to a new provider

Phone numbers are portable. Moving one to a new provider uses a standard Letter of Authorization, an LOA, the same form you sign any time you switch carriers. You keep the number your customers already call, the one printed on every truck, card, and listing you have. We prepare the paperwork and coordinate the timing so the line does not go quiet during the switch.

Your customer list and data come with you

The names, numbers, emails, and history of the customers you earned are your business asset, not your vendor's. In almost every system that data can be exported. We help you pull your contacts, your reviews, and your records out of the old platform and bring them into a CRM that stays in your name, so you never have to start your customer relationships over from zero.

A new site gets built, and you own it

We build you a fast, modern website from scratch, and it belongs to you from day one, hosted under your control with the content yours to keep. We carry your existing pages and content over, keep the old site live until the new one is ready, and set up redirects at cut-over so the ranking you have already built carries forward instead of resetting.

We handle the migration end to end and keep you posted at each step. You keep running your business while we do the moving.

After the Switch

What You Get With Top Shelf

You Own Everything

Your website, domain, phone number, Google Business Profile, reviews, and your full customer list are in your name from day one. The only thing you subscribe to is the CRM software and the automations that run on it. If you ever leave us, you leave with all of it.

One Team, One Bill

Website, calls, CRM, reviews, follow-up, and marketing under one roof, on one bill, with one number to call. No more stitching five vendors together and hoping they talk to each other. Everything works as one system because it is one system.

No Lock-In

Plans are month to month and you can cancel anytime. We would rather earn your business every month than hold you with paperwork. Essentials is $299, Signature is $899, and Platinum is $2,500, with no setup fee.

Common Questions

Questions About Switching

01

Can I really keep my domain and phone number?

In almost every case, yes. Your domain can be transferred or pointed and put in your name, and your phone number ports to a new provider through a standard Letter of Authorization, the same process as switching any phone carrier. The one thing worth checking first is whose name your domain and number are registered under today, which is exactly what the free audit looks at.

02

Am I stuck in my Hibu or Thryv contract?

It depends on the agreement you actually signed. Some are month to month and some run for a set term, so we do not guess at yours. We help you read what you signed, understand any notice period or end date, and plan the switch around it, so you are not paying two providers at once or breaking anything you agreed to.

03

How long does the switch take?

It depends on your current contract and how your assets are set up today, so we will not quote a fixed number of days that would not be true for everyone. We map the timeline with you up front, keep your current site and number live until the new setup is ready, and time each move so nothing goes dark in the meantime.

04

Will my site go down or will I lose my Google ranking?

No. We keep your existing site live until the new one is ready, then cut over on a schedule. We carry your content across and set up redirects so the search equity you have already earned points at the new pages instead of resetting. The goal is a clean handoff your customers never notice.

05
